  • Kernel32.dll Error on Win XP Pro

I'm trying to start up my newly installed Tabula Rasa game and up pops an error

    ---------------------------------------------
tabula_rasa.exe - Entry Point Not Found
    ---------------------------------------------
The procedure entry point GetSystemTimes could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
    ---------------------------------------------

I tried to reinstall my kernel32.dll file from my original CD using the "Recovery Console" via directions I found on the net on how to do so. Looked good ceot when I retarted, same issue. Nothing changed.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Fixed my own issue. Apparently I forgot to install SP2 when I reformatted this drive...all better.

No I DL'd it and patched up...all better. I was just a nub tard when I reformatted my C drive (I have 2 drives that I occasionally reformat to get an error free Windows when things start acting funny on the first. Works quite well actually.

On some games, you will need SP2 in order to play it.

In general, sometimes the .dll files of XP will become corrupt (for one reason or another) so you will have to "repair" XP using either your recovery disk or Windows OEM CD.
