OK, have you looked into the Event Log for any errors at the time it crashes?

Start > Ctrl Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

Check the Applications log and the System log for any events around the time K&L crashes.

What happens exactly? Does it quit and you crash back to the Windows Desktop without any error message or do you get an error message? It crashes while playing the intro?
Did you check the online support database of Eidos at http://support.eidosinteractive.com/ ? Does your system meet the minimum requirements?

Does any other game give you trouble?

Whats your graphics card and what drivers (version) are you running?

Try quitting all background tasks (Skype or other instant messengers, Antivirus, CD burning software etc).

Re: Kane & Lynch Dead Men NEED HELP

Could be a faulty RAM module.

Could be a problem with DEP (Data Execution Prevention)
Try: Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance / DEP (Data Execution Prevention) and disable DEP if its enabled.

Another suggestion would be reinstalling the latest version of DirectX.

The DEP not have the option to disable it
As for DirectX I have DirectX 9c

                            OK, 2.5GB Ram.

Would that be 2x1GB + a 512MB? So is that 512MB a leftover from something else? I'd try shuffling the RAM around.. first remove the odd-ball 512 and leave a stick in RAM slots 0 and 1, if that doesn't work.. swap the sticks in 0 and 1, then last try a single stick in 0 and if that STILL doesn't work, swap it with the other stick you were swapping out. And absolute worst.. try it with the single 512 in slot 0 and just try to get it to go - probably won't be able to play, but you can try it for troubleshooting.

so you think it is a RAM thing
