Hey everyone, i was beginning to build my new computer, and hit a stop in the road.

    No CPU Fan.

Well now thats a problem, so i went online to see at store but Circuit City is sold out and i didnt see any at Bestbuy, so i went to NEWEgg

    i found this

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186010

Is this a good CPU fan for my computer?

    heres my comp: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...3748&CatId=332

the only thing i have different from that is a 8600 GT video card.

please let me know if that CPU fan will fit in my comp as well as cool it, i need something cheap and that one looked fairly nice.

The cooler is adequate but make sure you have an AMD processor that the cooler supports.

This one will fit the AM2 socket for sure.

will that one above support my AMD processor?

in the reviews, one person said it supported their 5000+ which mine i believe is a 3200 or 3600+

        Re: CPU Coolerq

Read the specs of your own PC. It says you have the AM2 socket.

It's the socket that matters, not the CPU speed. Even though the other post said 5000+, he may be using the 939 socket or something else. The cooler you posted did not specify that it supports the AM2 so I would not get it in the hopes that it will fit.

            Re: CPU Coolerq

One other thing Soulja, make sure you have thermal paste. If you do not and then just put the CPU fan on the CPU the CPU will not stay very cool if at all. The thermal paste helps transmit heat from the CPU to the heatsink on the fan so it cools the CPU faster and better than without the thermal paste. VERY IMPORTANT
