You can get Deus Ex on Steam too.

I don't have any first-hand experience with Direct To Drive, but I do remember that it seems like all the Oblivion patches say "This patch is NOT compatible with copies purchased via direct2drive" which makes me suspicious of the service.

Direct2Drive offers patches for some of the games it distributes. For others, the patch will prompt you whether its a box copy or a downloaded copy before installing.

Also, you can get Far Cry for free now (ad supported) from FilePlanet: http://www.fileplanet.com/180410/180...d-Supported%5D

The ads appear on the title and loading screens I believe, not in the game environment.

Ads? If there are ads then why are you paying for them at all?

I'm still thinking in Deus Ex mode. It was a good game. If I recall, Far Cry was some fappery about graphics and running around in Cuba punching people. Also, File Planet. LOL.

Pirates for $20 is decent, and I love that game.
Please forgive my frequent grammar and game knowledge flubs; I'm rusty in both areas. :)

Hope to playing BF 2142 and COD 4 on the TG server as soon as I've built a respectable PC.
