    That convincing enough for you?

I get these during some games. Model stretching, texture corruption, polka dots appearing on structures, completely random crashes of my graphics card drivers. I tried the drivers I had installed with, the ones on my CD, and then the latest from ATI - no go. No matter the drivers, I still get the problem.

I've posted a thread already at Sapphire Community: http://forums.sapphiretech.com/showthread.php?t=19986 You don't need to register to view it. Basically, it'll tell you some more about my problem and let you know of what I've already done and checked to try to remedy it.

Have you checked to see if your fan is working on the card if it overheats it will cause these problems Sapphire has allways been bad with fans I know I used to have a X700 lasted a few months and the fan broke.

Update: the VRAM's gone bad. After only a year of owning the damn thing.

Only thing I can do is hope for an RMA and/or tough it out until I can get my hands on a new vidcard, which I really wish I didn't have to do at the moment.

I have the same problem in ARMA.

X1950 pro 512 AGP. V-Ram you say? Is that under a lifetime warrant?

I managed to exchange it at the store I bought it from. Exactly on the last day of the warranty. :D

The guy at the counter wanted to kill me.

Good timing, your lucky. You should really watch your temperatures, especially when putting in new hardware to ensure you have enough cooling measures. I fried a x1900 and ever since pay a bit more attention.

I thought ATI were 'lifetime' warranties -- though that does mean the life time of the product line.

                  Mine's a Sapphire - 2 year manufacturer's warranty, and 1 year in-store warranty.

I always run SpeedFan in the background...keeps an eye on all my core temps and fan speeds and uses almost nil system resources.

AWESOME that you were able to return it though.
