Would it be worth getting 4 more gigs for a total of 8GB??

      Mail-In Rebate = Boo.

Too bad I won't have money for 2 more weeks. My work machine could use more memory allocated for it's VM environment.

Though I read the article on the Phenom II, and I'll be waiting on that before making any more upgrades, be it memory, hard drive, or otherwise :)

not unless you have 64-bit and run a lot of programs at the same time.

In my opinion it's not worth it yet. Although at the prices RAM is at now, it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up the extra 4 GBs. At least then when you retire the rig, you could use it as a media streaming and file server. :)

I do quite a bit of multitasking each day, but usually only use about 2.5 to 3 GBs. So for me, 8 GBs is overkill at the moment.

I think the most I have used was about 60% of my 4Gb of RAM I have. I figured it may be overkill reason why I thought I would ask and save me a few bucks.
