Well, Newegg has some killer deals again today.

Let me start off with saying I barfed a bit on myself when I saw this one:

That is the same memory I am running, and I paid $180 for both of my 2 kits.

Dollar is strong right now, seems america always gets the best price anyway and now more so. The memory is $60 in the uk

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.

HOLY JESUS, that's an insane price for that ram. Probably all sold out already though lol.

Just make sure your motherboard can handle 1066 speed ram. If it is a newer asus it probably can, for instance, but you still need to check.

Why? Are you suggesting that an older mainboard won't be able to simply run the RAM at a slower speed?

I had the same ram clocked at 800 and it was fine. My board support 1066 but it had better stability at 800 due to mb bios issues.

I think bamboo was issuing that warning if you actually wanted to run the RAM at its rated speed and not run into problems.
