    Vista Dock

So, the Lady-friend has a Dell laptop, and after a month the hard drive gave up. They sent us a new one, no worries, and we reinstalled vista. However, the vista dock at the top of the screen is no longer there, and it isn't on the supplied CD's for some reason. Any ideas where I can get a nice one for her, as she expects me to get it!:)

It is called Dell Dock...just do a search for it in yahoo and it will give u a link to download from. It is powered by objectdock but made for Dell exclusively. Hope this helps.

The sidebar is included in every Windows Vista installation.

To get the Sidebar, do this:
    1. Start
    2. Programs
    3. Accessories
    4. Windows Sidebar

Then in the lower right icon tray, find the Windows Sidebar icon and:
    1. right-click
    2. select Properties
    3. Check the box next to "Start Sidebar when Windows starts"

Now if you're referring to the Mac OSX like "dock", then there are freebie programs out there that simulate it, like Stardock's ObjectDock.

I've used RocketDock for a good while now, don't know what I'd do without it.
