    Check this out:

The Netbook Hackintosh Video Apple Is Suing Wired For

I know we had a big thread where we were arguing about how tight Apple is at controlling things, and this is just another example.

But regardless, this is pretty awesome. I would really consider doing this if I had a netbook. The video at the link seems to have been yanked already, but if you check youtube, there are tons of videos on the subject, including many how-to.

I just got through watching this one:

Most laptops shouldn't pose much of a problem with a "hacked" version of Mac OSX. If Mac users can throw Vista on their Macbooks, what really stops you from throwing Mac OS on a PC?

I don't think much does ever since Apple's computers started using x86 hardware from vendors/manufacturers like Intel.

It depends on how much the OS depends on any custom chips that Apple might put in a real Mac.

I thought the x86 Mac OS project addressed this so the Apple OS could be installed on virtually any machine (maybe minus those running MIPS processors)?

I don't really understand this. Ubuntu is so much nicer to use than Osx, especially with Netbook Remix installed. I suppose there are software packages available for the Mac that don't have Linux clients but who wants to run Photoshop on a netbook anyhow?

Gizmodo just put up a new article, and it makes me consider buying a netbook just to do this:

I know from personal experience that Lenovo (IBM) T42 and T60 series laptops work exceptionally well with an OSX install.
