I am thinking of upgrading my current setup from a 3870 to the 4870. I am thinking that i may have some problems with my power usage. I have this PSU. I am running 4 case fans, 1 SATA hard drive, 4 gb of ram, 2 dvd drives, and cold cathode lights. DO you think this PSU listed below will be able to handle that of a new video card. I know that it only has 1 6 pin connector and the 4870 has 2. I found a converter to turn 2 of the molex into a 6 pin so that isnt the issue. Any help is appreciated

      Re: Upgrade

Should work fine as I've seen the max power draw being ~350W and in most cases it's around ~300W.

        Re: Upgrade

PCI-E 1.0 can use from 75-150 watts PCI-E 2.0 can reach up to 350-400 watts for a single card, that power supply you linked to does not support the 8 pin PCI E 2.0 cards to deliver more power, so you should be fine.
