  • Catalyst 9.3 comes with official Windows 7 support

This is good news for ATI owners. Also just announced is that the RC for Win7 is supposed to be released to the public the last week of May. (I was hoping for April, but oh well)

But will it fix the damn screen flickering in anything but 3d applications?

Only way I found to fix it was to make sure overdrive was off and use Rivatuner to control the fan speed.

This makes me even happier that I bought an ATi product. I too have the flickering problem, usually when I'm playing movies and trying to multitask when doing it or swapping in and out of games. Locking the 2D and 3D clocks helped, but didn't resolve the problem completely. Some days and apps are better than others.

I'll install the driver later today and see what happens. What a great development!
