  • Sapphire HD4870 with 2GB of memory defines silence

Pretty good writeup on a new card. Problem is the extra gig of ram doesn't really help in any benchmarks. But the good news, and one of the reasons I'm considering getting the card, is how quiet the card runs according to the review, as well as the HDMI output.

It is already on newegg, but sold out at the moment, $240 after rebate:

After reading this review I went back and checked my temps in the log and found I am hitting 91.5 on the mem, GPU was in the 50's and shader in the 60's with out after market cooler, way higher then I expected so I had to up fan speed. I think it is likely a great investment if it preforms as intended.

Blows my older Sapphire 4870 out of the water. Dang reference cooler. And the fan gets annoying over 50%
