  • PSUs Backwards Compatible?

I think I know the answer to this question but I'll ask in case there is a .05% chance I'm wrong and the world explodes.

I have a Antec 380W EarthWatts Power Supply ATX12V v2.2. And I want to put it into a C51G chipset motherboard. The MB has a 20 pin 12v and the PSU has a 24. The 24 on the PSU was perforated, so I bent off 4. Before I plug it I want to make sure it kewl. Anyone know?

you dont really need to rip off the extra four unless there is an obstruction. just plug it in and let the pins hang over.
