Re: Nvidia's releases Geforce 186.18 WHQL driver

So far I am unimpressed with these new drivers. My Battlefield 2142 screen acquired this dim/greenish screen instead of the usual white and its very hard to play with. Might consider getting the older ones but haven't decided which ones as my new pc got built just last week and I was using the latest (at the time) driver which were the 186 beta ones.

Can anyone recommend some older drivers that are more stable?

I've been using 182.08 without issue.
I'll only update the driver if it means better performance along with the same stability.
Or, if a game requires it.

Ah I would use the driver except only 185+ support my GPU (gtx 275)

It might be that your driver install didn't go right.
A lot of times Nvidia's beta drivers don't uninstall properly, and lead to weird bugs when you install new ones.
Did you use driver sweeper to clean the old drivers off before installing the 186.18 just released?
If you do redo your drivers and use driver sweeper, just make sure if you have an Nvidia chipset motherboard that you don't check the box for that driver to be cleaned. Just your display drivers. If you need help, will be happy to take some screenshots and show you what to checkmark.
