  • Spotify Is the Best Desktop Music Player We've Ever Used

Pretty interesting post over on Lifehacker:

Spotify Is the Best Desktop Music Player We've Ever Used

Lots of the features look like they would be really cool, better than Itunes. I would love to be able to listen to my music on any computer, and share with friends.

I've been using Pandora.com. You can create "stations" based on artist and genre. It's pretty cool. I've got like five "stations" created to suit my moods and even one just for my wife. There are ads to buy the music but I don't really care about that.

                    I use spotify
its free music that is streamed, you never own a local copy
it has adverts but less than commercial radio and no commentator either
the catalogue of tracks is not thorough but covers most of the popular music
it is excellent for trying lots of different tracks for free, and thats the full track, not just 15 sec samples

I use it too. For popular music it's great. The loves it, she uses it as a jukebox when she has her friends over.

This would be a useful link to go with the first post.

@Jeepo_SAS: Time to pimp out the invites! ;)

Guess what all you Euro guys with Iphones:

Spotify for iPhone gets thumbs up from Apple, subscription music with offline playlists is a go

Let us know if any of you give it a go.

Not having an Iphone I would imagine such things like using external speakers would just chew up the battery? True? or no?
