  • First possible benches for Fermi based GPUs

Note that they are displaying two models, the GTX 360 and GTX380 against the HD5970 and the HD5870. If these are true I'll be a little bit surprised.

Wow, that's looking good. Even the GTX 360 will beat out the 5870.

I hope those are real. Ever since ATi raised the prices on their current line they all of a sudden aren't as attractive as they first were when they were sub $300. I wouldn't mind spending more than that on a card that will be superior.

That would be so easy to fake/photoshop. Big grain of salt indeed.
The only numbers I want right now is release date (of actual availability everywhere with plenty of stock) and the actual price.
But good catch on finding the article Reaper.

Well apparently they are too good to be true

I just don't understand why someone would be so stupid to take the time to do it.
          Must be an ATI fanboy.

An announcement of the announcement date

So we're not going to see them till March? COME ON! I'm getting really sick of this waiting. If the prices didn't recently skyrocket I'd buy a 5870 right now.

They are still higher than they should be, but actually dropped a bit, and Newegg has a bunch in stock. Down to $399 for the ASUS:

I'm not sure if it's really worth it at those prices. At MSRP the ATi cards are a pretty good value, but if Fermi is going to wipe the floor with them it might stand to wait. At least until Jan to see what Fermi can do.

Oh and I don't buy from Newegg.

The Inquirer posted some not good news.

Since the forums are bugged for me right now and won't let me make the above a link, here it is:

                  http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...-fermi-gpu-cut

It's not the cutting of the stream processors that has me bummed, but the heat output and the possibilities of it being delayed AGAIN.
