  • Frustrating mouse issue...

I have a Logitech MX 518 mouse that is close to hitting its 4 year anniversary...and for the last several weeks, it would randomly turn off by itself, which means I would have to reach behind my desktop tower and unplug/plug it back in for the mouse to work. This problem has occurred on all 6 USB ports of my desktop and all 3 USB ports on my netbook.

Does that mean that my mouse is on its last legs? Cleaning, reinstalling drivers didn't help. I wouldn't mind asking for that sexy-looking Logitech g5 for Christmas :)

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, if it's not pulling power from the usb and it happens on every USB port, chances are your mouse is just on the way out. Try it in a second PC to be absolutely sure, maybe.

I only have 2 computers at my disposal, and they are both crapping out.

One of the first signs it's going out. Get that new g5!
