Prerequisite: Mods above, good attitude, willingness to ask questions. Recording this class is welcomed.
Approximate Students: Eight plus instructor. Any more than eight and additional instructors would be required due to the demanding one-on-one nature of this class. Spots offered on first-come, first-serve basis.
Course Duration: 120-180 minutes - dependent more on students than instructors. This course involves high-volume ammo expenditure and the instructor will not pass until all students demonstrate proper tactics. NOTE: Students can and will be failed for failure to comply with certain principles, including but not limited to firearm and range safety procedures.
Commands to Listen For:
MAKE READY/LOAD - Load your weapon.
UNLOAD/MAKE SAFE - Unload your weapon.
THREAT/GUN/TARGET/CONTACT/HIT 'EM/BUST 'EM/Any other threat indicator - Shoot your target without hesitation.
SHOOTERS READY - Is everyone ready? Is there a malfunction that will prevent any operator from moving on with this drill expeditiously?
What This Course Offers: Primarily, this is the way I do things. This is what works for me, and I can't promise it works for everyone. I can't promise this is what the military does or what law enforcement does. Everyone has their own way of doing things and this is mine. I hope only that some of my students take something from the class and apply it.
At the conclusion of this class, you will have a basic but well-rounded understanding of how to be a problem-solver under stress, how to communicate on the fly with your team, and how to navigate urban terrain safely. You will exit this class a better operator. That's a promise.
