Kindof ironic that the show was called "press your luck" and the host goes down in a plane crash while ferrying medical supplies/parts/organs for Angel Flight west.

The game show host remains one of the most oddly prestigious yet laughable careers known to man.

With all due respect, Chuck Woolery (or any game show host, for that matter) is kidding himself if he doesn't agree with my statement!

Oddly prestigious because when successful, you are very well-known and revered by the viewing public. Yet laughable because when it's all said and done, what did you spend all that time and non-effort on, and where did it get you? Look at poor Peter Tomarkin - here he was, trying to do something noble with his life, he dies doing it, and what does his obituary say in the first line : "former host of popular '80's game show 'Press Your Luck.'" Their shows hang over them forever - good or bad - they are branded for life.

I'm just joking though, I love game show hosts.

It's kind of like a Bond-hole. It took Sean Connery years to escape from movie producers only wanting him for spy-ish roles, and is one of the reasons why Pierce Brosnan took up his role in The Matador, proving that he can do more than look good and act suave stereotypical spy.
