No more vitamins needed. Just pull a healthy dose of dried mucus out of your nasal cavity...

I can understand picking the nose thing since tissues don't always work. It would be nice to wash your hands after though. Hoever, eating the dried mucus?! I don't think that would be good for your immune system. Who knows what got caught in your nose? I sure don't want it in my body if my body stopped it from getting in.

no wonder i never get sick. ....oh god, now they know my secret. do you think this will ever catch on? i dought someone will just dig up in there, pull out a juicy boogie, eat it down and use the immune system idea as reasoning. let alone not get their ass kicked.

                    Re: In your FACE Mom!

Well I pick my nose all the time, because its true only your finger can get to those hard to reach places. I don't eat them, however it seems to make sense that the bacteria from your nose could give your system a bost (although I know nothing about medicine).

I'll encourage my kids to pick their noses in private, good stuff, maybe not eat it, but picking is always fun.

But it makes sense if you think about it. I mean, what are all those injections you got as kid for? To boost your immune system against those viruses and to do that they inject you with a small amount of that virus so your immune system can build a defense against it.

Not saying I'm going to do it or anything, but it does make sense..

I could image that the doctor could be right about "strengthening the immune system" but I get the impression that not a lot of work went into these "findings".

Licking doorknobs will strengthen your immune system too. In the words of Steve-O: "I like to keep my immune system on its toes."

I wonder what else are they going to come up with.

Let me first say that I AM NOT A BOOGER-EATER!

Then I'll say that "they" aren't coming up with anything. There's got to be a reason why it's instinctive for kids to pick their nose and eat their boogers. Every kid does it until he/she is TAUGHT that it is "wrong". Our aversion to strange things is something that we learn. I went to a sushi buffet yesterday with 3 guys that had never tried sushi. 2 of 'em were unable to even put a bite in their mouth. Although I couldn't understand their aversion at the time, now I understand it a bit better, as I don't think I could stomach the thought of picking a booger and then eating it...

Nothing like going fishing eh? Its just hard to pick which fishing rod to use? I have 5 rods and two of each although I usually go with the smallest. I am not cruel to my catch either, I usually through them overboard.
