  • I must of....

...is not English! It's 'I must have' people! Or "I must've" if you're you're into the whole brevity thing... as in "I don't remember taking grammar, but I must have since I graduated"

I graduated from pennsbury, we are not known for our english grammer. I apologize whole heartly to you Wiskey if my grammer drives you nuts.

I rarely capitalize, use '...' way too frequently, and often type 'wanna', 'gonna', and 'prolly'... for some reason, this is the only one that chaps my ass :D

                      Re: I must of....

As was in Steeler's cartoon strip, "supposably" is one of the commonly used words that is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I HATE it when people say that. I'm not perfect, but "supposably" makes people sound completely stupid.

I've also heard many people refer to a Dachshund (as in the wiener dog), as a "Datsun" or "Dotson." I've had to correct people so many times on that. "A dachshund is a dog, a Datsun is a car."

Growing up amongst the Tex-mex culture in San Antonio, I have heard so many errors in the English language, some of you would have had a coronary if I listed them all. Beatnik probably understands this all too well, since he is pretty close (Austin). I usually let most things slide, but sometimes, people do need to be corrected to prevent further embarrassment. I only correct my closest friends, though.

I type Thru on papers instead of through. My father does the same in bussiness. It's an informal but perfectly legitimate way of saying through. It pisses off my language teacher to no end.

I hate it when people mix up "ideal" and "idea". One of the managers said "That's a good ideal". I replied with "No it's not, but it's a good idea".
