Unfair, corrupt, and force-feeding us corporate foods in the name of food safety. HR 875 and 759 sound really wrong...I haven't checked out the text of either bill, but if half of blondie's claims are true...egads. :row__684:
Let's face reality--this would be no different under a different President; this is the nature of corporate-masonic America. Doing "good things" to people.
The stage has been set for this kind of thing for a very long time and now we're coming to the endgame for the era we have been living in.
At best, legislation of this kind robs our culture and society of diversity, choice, freedom and resiliency. At worst, bills like these will make possible the control of our life by controlling everything we need to live it--money, energy, transportation, food, shelter. If we can't be bothered to write letters and do something now, what makes us think we will suddenly do something about it when it is so much harder, and the consequences of resistance become more terrifying?
It happened in the Soviet Union, and people fell into three categories: those who became part of the ruthless system, those who cowered in suffering under it, and those who were systematically obliterated for refusing to do either.
Is that the choice you want your kids to have to make?
I know I'm making an appeal to emotion here, but although the argument has it's fallacies, I hope you can see the underlying concern. It's a hard rain gonna fall.
Here's the additional info, which I pasted from Shelly's sidebar:
