    Introducing:

    - The Jock, who was denied a football scholarship and thus joined the army.
    - The Nerd operating the camera, trying to find manly hood.
    - The Buff guy, slightly uncomfortable infront of the camera.
    - And a fourth guy, who probally like: "guys we should be gaurding this post".

Seriously these guys should star in Bad company 3

Did he open that can with his head?

PS - If you find something neat lying around, like, say, a PPsH, how long are you allowed to tote it around before you have to report it to an armorer or something? Is the answer anything like 'until it runs out of bullets?'

to Insulabula - We do hear about the good things, too. I don't remember where I saw it, but there was a really good article on the guys guarding the oil transfer depot off the coast of Iraq, the place where the oil actually goes on the tankers, and all the issues they have with guarding what is basically the most important rusted and bombed out scrap heap in that part of the world. Maybe it was NPR?

Re: How the US Military does it

I understand what you're trying to say Frank but the reality is that the footage that started this thread will foster more public opinion than a story of the guys actually doing their job.

If you're going to use kids to fight a war then at least you shouldn't be surprised if they act like kids (you don't see many 40yr olds opening a can with their head).
