Amerish is more like an American Appalachian Mountain forest... just without much in the way of trees. I think that'll definitely change when they polish it.

Hossin is looking like the dream Infantry continent and I'm loving the new base layouts. I'm only slightly concerned about the very low view distance.

Hopefully they'll be enough gigantic trees you shouldn't be able to see very far anyways.

For the Air assets it'd still be an issue.

This looks great! I thought I'd never like anything more than Esamir, but after seeing this I just want to spend my time in the jungle hunting enemies from the tree tops.

                  Can't wait for this. :)

Yeah, the PS2 level design team is getting much, much better now that they've had a chance to see what works and what doesn't.

Looks really good! I also really hope they do a good solid update pass on Amerish, hopefully adding a lot more tress and vegetation.

                        Re: Hossin!!! Random youtube videos

A few days ago I went back to play BF3 after months away. As sexy as BF3 is (and BF4 will be) I just did not see the same level of teamplay as PS2 demands and delivers.

These new maps, redesigns, and continually improvement really add a dynamic element to gaming.

SOE has open the door on the possibility of a continually improving gaming environment (not one that you discard every 2 to 3 years).

Too early to tell if this is actually the way it will unfold, but whow.

                        Awesome indeed.

                          Re: Hossin!!! Random youtube videos

It's certainly their intent! They've often said that their hopes for the eventual scope of the game MASSIVELY exceed the scope of the game we're playing now, and things like the resource revamp and continental warfare that are coming down the pipes in a month or two are good evidence that they're making good on it. It's stuff like that that makes me forgiving of some of the shortcomings of the "Free to Play" business model, because for all the design compromises and conflicts of interest that it creates I don't think a game like this would be possible any other way in this day and age.
