  • Engineers can now deploy multiple turrets

    Apparently it is now possible for an engineer to deploy one of each turret type (AI, AV, and Spitfire) at the same time (!). You need to change loadout at a Sundy or terminal (or redeploy from a Galaxy or Valkyrie) after deploying the first turret. So you could drop a Spitfire to defend your rear or the Sundy, and then re-equip your AV turret to hunt enemy armor. Or use your AV turret to block a doorway, and then have your AI turret covering another door, etc. Here is the link discussing the change:

    Interesting. If that's intentional and not something that's going to get patched out soon, then that makes the spitfire a lot more viable as a throwaway defensive item. Engineers drop one at the sunderer, grab their regular MANA turret, and walk away.

      Seems to be the way, never though to change after dropping spitfire.

        Yeah, the mines have always stayed around. The turrets are new, though.

          As you say SS, if this is a "feature" and not a "bug" then I might be finally buying that Spitfire after all (and, I would expect to start seeing a lot more Spitfires set around Sundies!)! :)

            It would be fun for the squad to drop spitfires around a base which has just capped to hinder back caps or at a forward base soon to be available.

              From a tactical point of view , during point holds we could use this to create temporary door blockages by setting up av turrets in the doors, and quickly switch to AI turrets and put them in regular positions,this will slow down the enemy egnoth for us to rotate and deal with the threat

                  No, turrets are only active while you are an engineer, once you change class they are (all) gone.
