    So... this just appeared
    https://www.planetside2.com/news/dev...-arms-ps2-2017

sounds like anti vehicle nerfs... as long as my rocklet isnt touched (sub for making the the locklet viable) im good.

I do not like this, as people already have a lot of incentive to sit in their vehicles and never get out. However, we have weathered changes in the game before, and we will adapt.
The question foremost in my mind is "what will bring the most tactical fun to the server?"

Don't thing about all these Vehicles capping bases...

Think about all these vehicles capping bases ....... while we drop them one by one as infantry from a strategic and stealthy location!

As you might have guessed, I am happy to support a squad capping a base, as over watch, in or outside armour but with the choice to 'keep' the armour and push a lattice as a an armoured unit make me happy in that respect.

Also I like the idea that an armour unit can escorting infantry squads and get to take part in the base claim as well as perimeter defence.

      We shell see...

Garthra, those people aren't going to get out of their vehicles even as it stands, might as well have them doing something useful! It's always a shame when a good combined arms battle has to be decided by an infantry grindfest, so giving them something to do other than guarding the Sunderers will spread the gameplay out a bit and hopefully add more approaches to taking a base. These are both things that the game needs, IMO; the large scale of the game has never played well with territory capture always devolving to messy fights over small control points.

We'll have to see what they do with it. They've talked about "vehicle objectives" for years now.

With the move to allowing vehicles to cap I think that MAX units should be allowed to cap too. They cost resources and are technically a vehicle.

I would have liked to see the engineer AV turret range nerf reverted however as that extra range can make a large difference while solo assaulting armor.

As a side note, I believe they did nerf engineer AV turret range recently. Didn't they drop it to 350 or 300?

Garthra Yes they did nerf engineer AV turret range. Previously the range was between 450 and 500 meters. Current range is 320 meters.

The range nerf on the mana-turrets hurts enough as it is. please dont make armor more tough to kill then it currently is.

From talking around cris They are going to make armor harder to kill, however it will be harder to kill infantry with an armored vehicle.

I think that may just be speculation however, I guess we will see when the devs actually make the change. If they make a change.
