    Ground Rules

    CHECK FIRE!
During the training, hold your fire until specifically instructed to do so. This is very important so that your instructor can address everyone without background noise of weapons fire or explosions.
Listen to your instructor and follow their directions.

It is important that everyone listen to the instructor and be ready to follow instructions so that the material in the module can be covered in a timely manner. The more the instructor has to be off-topic the longer the module will take to complete.

    Minimize Com Chatter.
Questions are greatly encouraged as part of the learning process, but many people may have questions at once. Instructors will address your questions when it is appropriate.

    How Spots Are Assigned:
The first priority will be given to Supporting Members above non-Supporting Members. Followed by NCOs, and non-Supporting members.

A reserve list will be made up when all the playing spots are filled. Supporting members, once again, have priority. When a player with a spot cancels, they will be replaced by the first person on the reserve list.

    How to sign up?

Important, Players who are no-show without notice for a session will be precluded from participating in the following session for the game where they were absent.
Don't let your team mates down! Only sign up if you can make it.
Because class spaces are limited, please don't take a spot unless you're confident you can play.
Players who do not sign up will be allowed to participate if there is space, but please signup if possible.

To sign up, please simply reply with the following format (Please sign in your names exactly as it is used):

    Sign up format
    1) Your Forum name:
    2) Your in-game name :
    3) Supporting member (yes/no):

Players will be signed up on a first-come first-served basis.
Supporting Members get precendence in the order they sign up, then Non-Supporting Members afterwards.
Your SM status at the time of signup determines which list you will be on.
Once you post, you cannot become a SM later to work your way up the list.
You can cancel, but if you reconfirm, you will find yourself at the bottom of the roster.
You may not hand over your spot to another specific player.
Your spot will be given to the next available player.
Your instructor may allow attendance if you don't have the course perquisites but you will be lower priority to those that meet the requirements.
Pins may not be awarded to those who do not have the perquisites.
Most importantly, do not be late!
The question foremost in my mind is "what will bring the most tactical fun to the server?"

Oh man I would love to make it but I will probably be sailing with my dad and son at that time. Good luck and have fun!

Thank you to everyone who attended!!! I hope it was worth your time and was helpful to you!

I have one last request for those of you that did attend -- if any new person has ANY interest in squad leading, mention the course to them if you think it would help them. And give me their name. I want to get people who are new to TG into this course. It was designed to help new guys get started as Squad Leaders, but I will need everyone's help with getting the word out, as new guys rarely come to the forum.

              Thank you!

Yes, thank you Garthra for teaching the class.

Are we still going to have part 2 this Saturday at the same time?

I am going to have to reschedule part 2. Something came up at work this week which prevented me from sending out notes from part 1 or preparing part 2. Rather than throw a session together and possibly waste students' time, I am delaying part 2. Stay tuned, but I am looking at 2 weeks from now because next weekend is July 4th holiday in the United States.

Sorry for delay guys. Thanks for your patience.

That should work for me! The following weekend (19th will not)

Garthra has come down with a stomach bug and won't be able to teach the course. I'm not properly prepared to run the course in his stead right now, so unfortunately that means part 2 will have to be rescheduled.

Sorry for the inconvenience, guys! And apologies for putting the cancellation notice up so close to the start time, I dropped the ball.

OK UPDATE: I had a trial last week, which took a great deal of time, and a new trial this week. Hopefully, if I do not have a trial the following week I can do some training. My current intent is to do a second PART I, for NEW SQUAD LEADERS, and then do a PART II when I have enough people who have been through part I.
