  • [INFO] THANKSGIVING SHIP sale

Alright, for any one of you crazy people who wish they could have bought a ship way back in the day. Guess what? Tomorrow and the following few days will be your lucky day. Outside of limited edition ships like the cutlass blue and the Idris, you can get most of what is out there...

Can I trade puns for ships?

No? You're shipping me! You're full of ship! I can't believe you are giving me so much ship about this! You could say I have a ship on my shoulder. I could ship you more puns, but I am so tired of this ship!

          Nvm, I gotz it [Link]

IMHO, not much of a sale, everything is still pretty expensive. He's got almost $62 mil man, why do the prices still need to be so high? I understand that during times when it is not one sale to be fair to people who have already put money in you keep the prices the same; but if you are going to have a sale, put an actual discount on it.

Well we have to think of it this way. We're donating to the production of the game and get a ship as a gift in return. A game which when it comes out will only set you up with an aurora, a mustang or that new Misc starter.

It's not a "sale" in the sense that you are getting something for a lower price. It is most of the limited-time ships coming back on sale for the 2nd anniversary.

I'm glad the prices are as high as they are. It'd be kinda lame if everybody had the biggest ships before the game even started.

If I am reading this correctly, the packages include Beta access. Sounds like a good way to "back in" to Beta access, which otherwise is no longer available (without paying $5 per module). Amirite?

If so, I have a couple TG friends from PS2 that were interested, I might tell them to jump on the bandwagon now.

May be a good time for a front page article?

Final thought: don't see any more info on the $20 Aurora packages...

Not sure about Beta access going away.

If you want a ship with 2 year warranty, get an anniversary edition.

Here is my problem guys, I have 2 things I am looking at:

                        1) I melt my 315p and get a caterpillar for $180

                        2) I buy a HOTAS Saitek X52 Pro for $155 - $170 after shipping

                          Re: THANKSGIVING SHIP sale

Oh yeah, was confusing beta access with alpha access, my bad...

                          @Seige,

Remember, all ships will be available in game... Having said that, I am looking real hard at that cross chassis upgrade from Aurora LN to Hornet, myself... lol

I guess my opinion on this game has changed from "I am only putting in the minimum needed to get in game and play, everything else I will earn in game" to "I want to make sure CR has enough resources to carry out his insane ambitions and make the greatest game ever, space genre or otherwise..."

If I didn't need money for moving, and new computer, I would tell you to buy the upgrade and I will buy the Hornet upgrade and fly escort for you. Haha! But I need to curtail my spending right now, so I am going to have to hold off... :(

As much as I love digital spaceships I'd vote for the Hotas.
As Randy said we'll earn whatever we want in game later but you can't earn a good stick setup.
But I should point out that I know nothing about joysticks so don't take this as saying you should get the x52!
                            Hotas over Caterpillar though :)

FYI: All ships during the sale come with two-year insurance.

This means that anyone who has the standard 6-month insurance (anyone without LTI, afaik) can melt a package they have and rebuy it (provided that ship is available in the sale) in order to get an insurance extension. (although as always, they emphasize that insurance will not be a big cost in-game anyway)
