  • Reporting from vacation!

    Hi all!

This vacation is being way to long... I wish I could find a mage here to teleport me back to my house... I wanna play WoW!!!

Well, despite my despair to log in and check what's going on our guild this vacation is close to be reminded as perfect, I didn't see a single raining day in FL since we have arrived, the weather is great and the theme parks aren't full of people since spring brake is over :)

I bought "Dungeon & Dragons Online", and this is one of the reasons why I'm writing this e-mail...

Do you guys think we could play D&D too?

I'll try to check our site later 'cause we are going to Epcot Center now... hehe

    Miss you all,

    Sacredlord.

Oh! Almost forgot... in case you are in FL call me: (407) 396-0166. In case you are not in FL... call me anyway :P

      P.S.: I'll be here 'till March 19.
BTW, did we ever find a new strategy to kill the bloodlord?

Yes! We have found a decent strategy that I'm dying to try. It is eerily similar to the successful strategy we had before.

Hurry and get home, Sacred! I have a surprise for you!

          OMG I'm very curious now!

Really need to go now... major gf aggro here... being yelled to go to Epcot Center... I already used hammer of justice and she was stunned for 6 long seconds, enough time to finish these lines. Unfortunatelly the 1min cooldown won't help me this time... got to go!

[Thorgaard sneaks around the corner and stealthily as a dwarf in full plate 'armor of the unknown soldier' can sneak]

"D&DO played here", he whispers as quietly as a dwarf in full plate,'armor of the unknown soldier' can whisper - which isn't much of a whisper - in fact if this weren't text, it would probably strike everyone as a lot of loud shuffling and clanking with an underscore of gruff grunts and grumbles.

Glad to see you are having fun, I used to live right by all those theme parks myself, till I had to get out of the hot, humid, 10 ton mosquito south and get to a place where someone of my particular physique can live in harmony with a ton of snow.

As for D&D online I dont know if I can afford another subscription RPG, and if I could D&D would be my most likely choice. Let me know if its fun as this game and I might just scrounge a little to get it.

Thanks for the information guys, I've seen some nice posts in our DDO community.

Today I also bought a new mouse ("G5") and keyboard ("G15") from Logitech, they are top of the line for gamers :)

                            Re: Reporting from vacation!

Got a time to check my mail and see if anything happens... forgot to say how I used to love D&D on paper and how much I've played this game lol... I started playing the very 1st one as a mage and I played the D&D 3.5 a couple of times... unfortunatelly, RL stuff like work, school, etc... made our weekly paper D&D finish and then after a few years without any RPG in my life - thanks God - I found WoW.

Reading D&D's manual I honestly thought that the rules itself would make the game so "burocratic" in the fights - considering WoW versatility -, and I personally don't know yet how the "rest" thing will work... Like in paper D&D to cast a spell a mage needs to prepare it after getting rested and memorize it.

These were my first thoughts, however, after reading the comments in our D&D community i[m really interested in play it and guess what? Our D&D team need clerics as much as our WoW guildies need priests. lol
                            See you all really soon!

                              Re: Reporting from vacation!

Really - it is almost all very transparent. You can (for the most part) take 3.5 rules and see them at work in D&DO.. it's really very cool. There are things I miss about WoW that just are not going to be a part of D&DO (like fishing my favorite spots while at work). But all that is made up for in the new world..

I have a G15 and G7.. you'll love them both forever (in your case the G5). Get Schmads plug-in for TS and you are set. D&DO somehow supports the G15 but I haven't seen it yet or know what it does for you.

I don't know what your system specs are.. I wrote a bit in the TG General Forum about the HD graphics that are available with the D&DO disk.. check that out in case you can support it (or buy the stuff to do it while you are here).

Catch a ride in a NASCAR yet???
