  • The do's and dont's for raiding

I found this and thought i would share with the guild !!

    10 Do’s for raiding

    1. Do arrive with gear fully repaired
    2. Do have potions and backups already bought
    3. Do know your Raid leader
    4. Do listen to your Raid Leader
    5. Do focus on your role
    6. Do keep quiet and pay attention when the Raid Leader is giving instructions
    7. Do use an Assist Macro
    8. Do focus on your role
    9. Do listen to your Raid leader
    10. Do enjoy the challenge – its what we are there for.
(Yes, that’s right 2 of them are repeated – that’s just how important they are!)

    10 Don’ts for Raiding

    1. Don’t be late
    2. Don’t complain if we start a little late due to others
    3. Don’t complain about other players or blame them for mistakes
    4. Don’t argue with Raid Leader
    5. Don’t argue about loot
    6. Don’t do your own thing, remember your role
    7. Don’t leave mid-raid unless you absolutely have to, even then find a substitute if possible
    8. Don’t panic if things start to go wrong, remember your role
    9. Don’t have your character constantly jumping for no reason – this is tremendously irritating to others.
    10. Don’t be angry if we wipe – so what? What have we learned from it and how do we avoid doing it again?

Re: The do's and dont's for raiding

      I would add to this:

Do put someone on follow if you go AFK
Do notify the raid leader in person if you are going AFK (a quick message will do).
Do get the latest CT_Raid (currently CTRA_1.51 )

I say this because it is frustrating as lead to require a certain class for the next pull and I call out their name to step up and they sit there. I am stuck between wondering if they are AFK and deciding if I should go to the plan B pull. It's just a time-waster. Also, following someone else will prevent you from dying if we leave you too far behind.

The CTRaid allows me to check AFK status, see Soulstone/REbirth Timers and allows everyone else to target off of the main tanks easily. If you need help setting it up, just ask (way before the raid).

                  Nice job Ricca!

                  /clap

                  Also:

                  Dont bubble and hearth
                  Dont jump into lava
Dont close out half your party
Dont pop your soulstone too soon

Or, in other words, dont play a paladin class, it messes with your brain.
