I now have Blastcap updating on the Roster Site.

I also got my first Metagem cut this morning after buying my way to 365 (have some +4def/+6STA and +8AGI gems ready for people when they need them).

      Re: Gems Blastcap can make

Just to add to this, I have returned and also happen to be an avid gem cutter. I have level 375, so no pattern is too l33t for me =)

I'm just gunna put my list up here, I know me and Sajier have a few duplicates, but there are some that I have that he doesn't, and vice-versa.

      Here is my current lineup.

      [ITEM]Brutal Earthstorm Diamond[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Insightful Earthstorm Diamond[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Swift Skyfire Diamond[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Jagged Talasite[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Flashing Living Ruby[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Inscribed Noble Topaz[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Gleaming Dawnstone[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Brilliant Dawnstone[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Solid Star of Elune[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Bright Living Ruby[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Sovereign Nightseye[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Lustrous Star of Elune[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Thick Dawnstone[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Rigid Dawnstone[/ITEM]
      [ITEM]Subtle Living Ruby[/ITEM]

I am always looking for more patterns, naturally, so let me know.

      I can also make [ITEM]Circlet of Arcane Might[/ITEM] but the mat list is outstanding, 20x[ITEM]Felsteel Bar[/ITEM], 20x[ITEM]Primal Mana[/ITEM], 2x[ITEM]Star of Elune[/ITEM], 5x[ITEM]Mercurial Adamantite[/ITEM]
But if you want it, I'll do what I can to assist in the material gathering.

But now If I may make a request of the guild. Soon enough, we're all going to be needing Meta Gems. To do this, we need the Meta "Diamonds" and these can only be made by alchemists' Transmutes. If you would offer your transmutes so blastcap can start having something of a stockpile, then when we need them, they'll be easier to aquire. The transmute cooldown on them are 2 days.

      [ITEM]Earthstorm Diamond[/ITEM] and [ITEM]Skyfire Diamond[/ITEM]

Nations are like individuals: they achieve more when they plan to plant a tiny tree, and do it, than when they propose to raise an entire forest and then fall asleep in the furrows.

I AM socializing artard, I'm logged on to an MMORPG with people from all over the world and getting XP with my party using Teamspeak

          Re: Gems Blastcap can make

How to find your wanted socketable gems in the AH

All non BoP socketable gems are named in a particular two-part pattern:

          <Stats> <Gem Name>

Where <Stats> represents a name that defines what stats the gem have and <Gem Name> represents the quality of the item. Rare quality gems gives more of each stat than uncommon quality gems. So for and example a Brilliant Dawnstone is a yellow gem that gives a high amount of intellect while a Brilliant Golden Draenite gives less intellect. To find the gem you want I suggest searching for the <Stats> part of the name - depending on what socket and stats you are looking for - and just use the quality selector on the AH UI to specify what amount of the desired stats you want (and how much gold you are willing to spend).

Below is an overview of the different gem names and stats parts you can find. I have only listed BoE gems that is uncommon or better.

          Meta Gems
Gem Name: Earthstorm Diamond, Skyfire Diamond (both rare)
All meta gems have different stats combinations.

          Red Gems
Gem Name: Living Ruby (rare), Blood Garnet (uncommon)
          - Bold = Strength
          - Bright = Attack Power
          - Delicate = Agility
          - Flashing = Parry Rating
          - Runed = Spell Damage
          - Subtle = Dodge Rating
          - Teardrop = Healing

          Yellow Gems
Gem Name: Dawnstone (rare), Golden Draenite (uncommon)
          - Brilliant = Intellect
          - Gleaming = Spell Critical Rating
          - Rigid = Hit Rating
          - Smooth = Critical Strike Rating
          - Thick = Defense Rating

          Blue Gems
Gem Name: Star of Elune (rare), Azure Moonstone (uncommon)
          - Lustrous = Mana per 5 second
          - Solid = Stamina
          - Sparkling = Spirit
          - Stormy = Spell Penetration

Orange Gems (Fit Yellow and Red Sockets)
Gem Name: Noble Topaz (rare), Flame Spessarite (uncommon)
          - Glinting = Hit Rating and Agility
          - Inscribed = Critical Strike and Strength
          - Luminous = Healing Spells and Intellect
          - Potent = Spell Critical and Spell Damage

Greem Gems (Fit Yellow and Blue Sockets)
Gem Name: Talasite (rare), Deep Peridot (uncommon)
          - Dazzling = Intellect and Mana per 5 seconds
          - Enduring = Defense and Stamina
          - Jagged = Critical Strike and Stamina
          - Radiant = Spell Critical and Spell Penetration

Purple Gems (Fit Red and Blue Sockets)
Gem Name: Nightseye (rare), Shadow Draenite (uncommon)
          - Glowing = Spell Damage and Stamina
          - Royal = Healing Spells and Mana per 5 seconds
          - Shifting = Agility and Stamina
          - Sovereign = Strength and Stamina

Prismatic Gems (Fit Red, Blue and Yellow Sockets)
Prismatic gems are a bit different, here it's the stats part that decides the quality. Prismatic gems add resistance to all magic schools.
          Gem Name: Sphere
          - Void = +4 resist all (epic)
          - Prismatic = +3 resist all (rare)

Information from Just to help people get their gems sorted out. It should be noted that if you're cheap (like me) then the benefit from a blue gem is very minor compared to the green gem. Unless you're stacking several solid gems, you won't see a noticable difference from downgrading due to costs to green gems and just replacing things when you get the funds.

Also, I STRONGLY suggest you socket all your items right away. At the very least buy some white gems from a vendor (1.8g each) and toss them in to get the most bang from your new gear. You can then slowly upgrade your gems to green or blue as you get more resources.

The fact that all the epic DPS hunter gems come out of the hardest heroics makes me sad. :(
My sanity is not in question...
It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.

Light, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they ticked me off.
