  • What will your BC spec be right out of the box?

Okay, so we've seen the new talents and we've drooled enough to drive a small aqua vehicle through. But what will your level 60 spec be the moment you install BC?

Will you stick with what you have and go straight into the new content to get some levels under your belt before picking new talents?

Will you hit the trainer and respec to add some of the new stuff to your talents after trading out some tired talents?

You gotta remember that 3 of the 5 new zones in outland will have world PvP objectives that you might be spending some extra time giving attention to. Hugh rush of people to the outlands means huge rush of PvP conflict.

Also raiding in large groups will become a distance and fond memory. Yes, we'll still hit MC, BWL. AQ40, and Naxx, but the new BC instances will max out at 25 people and have a lot of 5/10/15/20 content as well.

So the question remains...what will your spec be at level 60?

With the changes being made to the talent tree I am assuming that they will clear all of our talents and reduce training costs. My spec will be impossible to exist once I get the expansion. I've been thinking about what my spec will be for level 60, since obviously it will have to change. Currently I am looking at http://tinyurl.com/y6n4cz, steady DPS with good survivability for leveling.

Considering that there are going to be assloads of new quests and instances I anticipate that I'll be doing a LOT more tanking. I think the new raid size changes are going to have a dramatic effect on the warrior community. If we're going to be running a the new instances with 10 people I feel pretty confident that maybe only one of the group will be a DPS warrior. I really believe that you're going to see a lot of "LFM, Need Tank". Also, since there seems to be a horrifying deficit of capable tanks, or people willing to tank I'm likely going to go deep into the Prot tree. Some of the new abilities are just yummy.

Personally, I won't miss the 40 person, set your life aside for 5 hour raids. And from what I've learned of the expansion, the greens in BC will be damn close to what you see in BWL anyway.

Yeah, there's a thread in the hunter forums where two beta testers are just fielding BC questions of their experiences right now.

It seems like you can throw out BWL gear and get T2 equivilant greens running quests and the instances in the starting area. O.o

Apparently the first two wings of Hellfire Citadel are pretty easy and the 'newbie' initiation to content post 60.

Also, the BM tree looks VERY viable since they have reports of the new pets reaching hp of 7000, armor of 9000+, and attack power for 263 DPS unbuffed. Someone even jokingly mentioned they let their pet tank the trash and escorts for MC and AQ40 because they just survive better and do more damage then warriors. Good times. :D

I actually am completely up in the air atm.

25/26 - build to up my spirit a bunch and my +healing generated from spirit while also giving me a bit more damage for leveling.

10/41 - a pure healer build. Will cost me some mana from my current disc tree which I am not sure about yet.

7/44 - A smite + healing build. Just adds more DPS for leveling.

              23/28 - a heavy smite build.

I am honestly just not sure.

This is not so dramatic for Tanking Warriors, though Arms/Fury DPS warriors have to make more choices.

Current tanking spec (Pre-BC) is 9/11/31

Immediate post-BC spec is 5/11/35....but essentially the identical spec to the pre-BC one, but juggled to deal with "tree migration" of certain talents (like Tactical Mastery).

Looking ahead, I can see this going to 5/11/45 for the ultimate in meat shield fashion.

check this link for some changes http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...34925108&sid=1

"Tactical Mastery" is going to be trainable at level 20, allows you to retain 10 rage points. The TM talent in the Prot tree improves upon it, allowing +5/+10/+15 retainable rage points for a total of 25

as for me I will start off with some variation similar to 31/20/0 maybe moving a point or from the fury tree into TM or an extra point into Arms. I would like to retain enough rage from TM to allow an execute after a stance change. This 32/18/1 build is what I am thinking about right now.

I will eventually be going for something similar to this 31/30/0 build

Re: What will your BC spec be right out of the box?

This is probably what I will go with (23/28/0):

                    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...00000000000000
                    or
                    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...00000000000000

Gives me 23 points in Disc to get the new uber Spirit buff. Of course its at the expense of a couple points in SH but overall should be worth it. This should give me a good solid healing build for existing content and the new stuff. I plan on grouping through the leveling process anyway so no need to worry too much about damage I wouldn't imagine.

But if the Raid Calendar gets slowed down a whole lot due to everyone trying to race to 70 then as Cartman would say "Screw you guys... I'm going Shadow" - hehehehe - perhaps a 7/0/44:

That was pretty much my first crack at the build, then I thought I should make the attempt to keep one viable raid buff.
