  • Warriors, 2.0 spec?

soo... what did you pick and why?

    any comments?

    Link your spec please.

    mine:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=TVMcdGbogcdioVZr

    Talents:
"Blood Frenzy", looks like it might be a nice raid buff for melee classes.
"Weapon Mastery", hoping to reduce the number of weapons in my bags. I currently carry an additional 1h and 2h weapon with a [item]steel weapon chain[/item] attached.
"Second Wind", I think this might help for some of the fights where stuns are common.
"Improved Disciplines", 6 extra seconds and cooldown at 20mins vs 30mins on Shield Wall, and Recklessness.. no brainer.

Honestly I am torn... while I want to invest as many points in talents that would help get my rage back to pre-nerf levels... I feel that I am losing many other talents that I valued pre-patch. I no longer have improved Battleshout or Piercing Howl. PH being almost a requisite talent for kiting phase 1 of the Razorgore fight.

I would like to experiment with "Blood Frenzy". I doubt that it stacks, but I would still like to prove it out.

    Anyone else??

Kel went 2/0/49, and from the looks of it last night, it is one heck of a build.

I'm 43/5/3 and the rage normalization is worse than I thought. It's depressing that Blizzard keeps hammering us with the nerf stick.

The "normalization" is Blizzards way of saying "nerf" :P

Quoting Duck from General discussion forums: From what I understand, you no longer generate rage from instant attacks, and the rage generated from auto-attack "white damage" has been adjusted to be a specific amount of rage per swing normalized to your weapon's swing speed.

                          Is that more helpful Chair?

                            Re: Warriors, 2.0 spec?

Or how about this from Tarenth a few posts later:

Actually I believe the exact target of the normalization was the 'crit' factor for rage. If you deal more damage, you would get more rage therefore the best way to deal more damage and get more rage was to crit more. The normalization pulled things back towards what you'd get if you were decently geared with an acceptable crit rate. This was a targeted nerf against those PvP warriors with 40-50% crit rates, but it seems to have far reach affects.

Not that I've really played much with my warrior alts to have a much deeper understanding of it.

What it boils down to really is that warriors in MC/BWL or higher gear are 'overgeared' for level 60 and having their rage generation pull back slightly from crits and white damage because their damage is 'too high'. Once BC comes out and they get a few levels that will swing in the other direction as they become 'undergeared' level 64-65 characters.
