To those wondering what was updated. Don't ask me! The only thing I could find was they updated something with the "Stow certain gear in certain vehicles" feature. I do know that one of the previous updates changed it so when you unload a rucksack from a vehicle cargo (not gear) it automatically puts it on your back, also they previously added a "progress bar" for stowing gear into a vehicle's cargo, etc. You'll see it whenever you enter an armoured vehicle crew position or a helicopter's pilot/crew position. My guess on today's hotfix was just for refining those features.
From the differences of a file according to the repository:
// TODO: Move to config properties to automatically decide what to do with special items
// TODO: Give CARRY objects into player hands, "unload" by action menu
I'm guessing that was ANOTHER one added today. ;) Considering I updated, no new info on the change-log. That, siantis, there is new. I believe it should be safe to update the Rev 530 before the server updates. In the past we've had hotfixes like this, and 99% of the time they're just clientside changes that are not propagated over the server. I noticed on last night's vietnam mission that when I got into the huey crew chief seat, it automatically put my, uh, vietnam era m4 into the huey's gear, and when I got out it automatically put it back in my hands. This was of course before this update. It made me wonder a bit why they even bother putting in the gear :)
