  • [ANNOUNCEMENT] Update to TGMaps today

    New content added to TGMaps for BRAVO server.

    1. New updated Lingor.
    2. EOD mod.
    3. MRAP vehicle to counter IED's from the EOD mod.
    4. SpecOps, Mercs, BlackOps and OpFor units by Schnapsdrosel

    There will be an update shortly but it will be small. We will then have signature checking turned on. Will announce when it is ready.

    Thanks Unk.

    Just a simple hint before updating on Six. First look for theGreen Tab titled Sync with SU Portal. Thenclick the black button. Then choose run ping test.

    This should make your download time quicker.

    Now click on the Bravo preset in the Dynamic area of Six, go to the @TGmaps (which will have a yellow tile), click on it, right click, then choose updater actions, select Install or update.

    P.S. Before doing any updates in Sixupdater, it is recommend to always do a ping test first. This will give you the lasted download mirrors.

        MRAPS! Eeeeek! (thats my little girl shreek). The minute I get home Im starting a mission based on those.

        On a side note, will the updated version of lingor have any effect on my current WIP mission?

          It would in terms of objects like buildings and what not being moved, added and removed.

          EOD mod? ISAF TvT missions from JB? You bet!

                Oh, one point: I don't totally understand the internals of six, but would it not make more sense to just add the existing mods to our mod set instead of taking them and squeezing them into tg "maps"? After all, we don't put ace or acre in there. Same goes for sthud, etc. If we continue down this path, tgmaps will become bloated and unwieldy, and any small change to a subset of it will require six to rescan the whole thing, etc. No?

                  Six only downloads the newer files, not the whole folder again, like for me it only downloaded 500 MB instead of the 1-2 GB size. Think of it like pausing a download for a future reference

                      Changes have been made to TGMaps one last time today. Signature checking will be on ASAP.

                        Please post here with any of your client side mods that are not working. The admin team will compile the list & look at getting keys for approved mods.

                          I use IVD and DFS_FPScounter. IVD is an instand view distance mod that can easily change viewdistance (limited to COOP missions only) and DFS is an easy and more reliable FPS counter.

                            The STHUD and STMovement. I know they're included in TGMaps, but some people may be joining without the TGMaps (i.e. on default game maps like Chernarus and Takistan). Maybe the littlebird thing too - not sure if that's client or not, though. Blastcore? JSRS?

                            Not checked them personally, just drifting through while I wait for SixUpdater to download. Turns out it stopped half way through last night and asploded.

                              I got all the updates. Very awesome. Maxxpro is insane - fastest car ingame AND immune to small calibre weapons. Down side, buggy to look out the drivers side dash, and the windshield filters the light in an odd way. Also, switching positions can lock you in a zoom. Otherwise, pretty neat toy. Now where's my F16? :P
