  • [EVENT] MINI-EVENT!! Joint-Ops: Vega Tonight(Sat 9/1)

Join me tonight on Bravo for a run through the latest version of Joint-Ops Vega. I listened to what you had to say and made the nessecary changes, within reason.

    Also expect
    -better AI movement
    -weapons caches are now destructible
    -a bit more sunlight
    -working convoy at the end
-Depending on player count, up to triple OPFOR.

I would like to get it going sometime between 17:00CST(22:00ZULU) and 18:00CST(23:00ZULU)

Sign up is not nessecary, but RSVP in a reply to this thread so we can get a good idea of what to expect.

These missions guarantee combat action for all players, even the medics.

    I'll see you sever-side.

How did it end up in the end? ... I left when we were waiting for the convoy to arrive at that hill looking north.

Someone drove an UAZ right through all of our SLAMs. That's the gist of it. The UAZ was intact until the last SLAM.

Riyker, thank you for your excellent leadership. Guardian 1 did an excellent job on the north side of that ASR.

I need to figure out why that convoy works when I test it clientside, but not when we upload to Bravo.

                          Very strange indeed.

I really need a new computer for these kind of events with alot of ppl.... (thats why I wanted to be a marksman, so I could stay in the back more and didnt have issues on the fast action bits).

I did play this mission before with a smaller group, was by night that time. Did enjoy it then.

Some points on execution; when Guardian1 is engached in a firefight, Guardian2 needs to stay and cover their sector. And not to help Guardian1 (unless they get completly overun), cause we could have easly been run over in our backs. Those are just my thoughts.
There is no such thing as a perfect plan.... Friendly fire - isn't...... If the enemy is within range, so are you...... If the Platoon Sergeant can see you, so can the enemy.....
