    INTRO TO TACTICALGAMER.COM

    TacticalGamer.com Primer
This is the document we organize ourselves around. All of our game specific rules are designed to achieve the goals as defined in the Primer.

    Player Standards
    A basic code of conduct.

Thirdly if you have read the previous two threads, you are well on your way to being a great member of TG and the following will complete your introduction.

    Language Content Reminder
Profanity is not something everyone wants to hear. Have some respect for your fellow gamers and refrain from swearing at every opportunity. If you choose to ignore this rule, the admins WILL clean out your mouth with a bar of "KICK" soap! You have been warned!

      ADMINISTRATION

TG Arma has a very clear chain of command.

First of all as a player if you have any issue about how the server rules work or any problem with anyone while on one of our servers, forums or TeamSpeak, then you will be speaking with an ArmA Administrator to get things sorted out.

These admins are volunteers and often give up their gaming time to help the community be the kind of place where respect goes full circle. Your admins are:
      Forum Name In-game Name
      MadSoloSniper |TG| Solo, |TG| SoloSniper, |TG| MSS
      Bond679 |TG| Bond679
      BadStache |TG| BadStache
      DMZ Scout |TG| DMZ Scout
Your admins have a boss. This is the Game Officer. This person has been given the ultimate responsibility for the game which they serve. If you have spoken to an administrator and have not found a satisfactory response, then the issue may be brought to the Game Officer (GO) or his second in charge, the Executive Officer (XO). If you misfortune to have been involved in a discipline action and you think the merits of your case aren't being heard you may speak to either of these two Officers.

Be advised however, that any required action may be expedited by the GO or XO which may, or may not, be what you were looking for.

      Game Officer: Unkl, |TG189| Unkl
      XO: woesterudolf, |TG189| Rudolf

The game officers at TacticalGamer.com report to the Community Manager, Wicks. There are more site level administrators (and TheBigC is also a Site Admin). The buck eventually stops at the owner of TacticalGamer.com who is Apophis.

How you can contact an admin?
      1. The easiest way is to look for one in TeamSpeak. All admins must have <ArmA Admin> after their name in TS. The XO or GO can help you as well but you may want to reserve these contacts for escalated matters.
      2. The next easiest way is to use the Contact An Admin thread at the top of the ArmA forums. This is a semi-private forum where all the admins can read and reply to a thread that you create. No once else will be able to see it except for TacticalGamer.com adminstration.
      3. You may send a private message through the forums to any admin as well.

      VOTED ADMINS - VERY IMPORTANT
Anyone who finds themselves a voted admin for the purpose of changing missions please READ THIS. All voted admins are expected to know this.

        TG ARMA RULES

        Basic SOPs and Rules:
Before you start gaming here at TG, we ask that you read the SOPs and understand how we play. We will take it that you basically understand the information. This means that it the areas covered will be enforced by the administration team.
These SOP's cover ArmA 3 - We hope your enjoy you time here!!

Here are a few pointers/tips to finding an extremely enjoyable time at the TG servers and in our forum:
        *I want - Doesn't get!

*Questioning someones advice as "Governmental, forum Nazi, or running off to someone else to see if they will give you an answer you want to hear" does not garner support for your cause.

*Listen more, speak less, unless leading a mission.

*High standards are expected, if you are not doing a good enough job, you will be told about it.

*Don't be whiner - There is nothing more immature than someone who whines that they are not getting what they want, rather than doing something to help us achieve variety for all players.

*There are many mission styles out there - Just because the server is not playing your personal favourite style of game at that moment means that not everyone needs to hear about it. When missions are selected you may request a mission style then.

*ArmA Admins are some of the most experienced TG members here, who have shown through past endeavors why they were chosen to be admins, listen and learn from them.

*Lonewolves are simply not tolerated here. You will be part of a squad and if the CO decides "No Snipers" there will be NO SNIPERS. However a commander will always listen to a "request" to take a particular role at mission selection.

*Teamkilling - NOT AT TG! Simply not accepted here at TG, anyone doing it will be kicked from the server and banned.

*Deadmen dont talk - If you are dead, enjoy watching teammates battle on, if you become a bird stay AWAY from living players, we enforce a 50m distance for observing wildlife!

*Only take a leadership role, if you know you have the time to see out the mission selected.

*Respect the radio rules established by the CO or Admin on duty...not doing so, will not end well for you.

These are just some of the primary principles by which we play ArmA at TG and as result we have developed into some of the most popular servers on the net. Respect these rules and your fellow players and you WILL have a great time and many enjoyable games at TG ArmA.

If not....there are many other servers to choose from.

SOP (Game Play) - Spoiling Mission Replay

Every so often, after playing a mission time and time again, it becomes a temptation as a team leader to advise the team as to where tangos may or may not be. For example, you may know that on a particular mission an ambush will soon occur, and thus you advise your team, "Charlie, I want you watching 300 meters to the northwest for the tangos who will be spawning there to ambush us."

This habit can ruin surprises for anyone new to the mission and, most importantly, it takes away from the realistic tactics needed in a true combat situation.

Also see this new rule regarding Live Streaming of games.

Were you KICKED or BANNED? Read this to find out what you need to learn to get your good standing back.

Here is a note about how we protect our games by restricting access to the real time editors such as Zues or MCC Sandbox.

Re: TG ArmA Rules - Start Here

          CONFIGURATION

          1. Custom Coop Missions Server
Custom Coop Missions - is now running the following:
          • CBA
          • TASK FORCE RADIO
          • CUP TERRAINS CORE
          • CUP TERRAINS MAPS
          • RHS UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES
          • RHS ARMED FORCES OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
          • (Achilles and Zec are enabled for those allowed to use Zeus)

If you try to join our server with any other mods you will find yourself disconnected. Just install ArmA 3 through Steam, add the collection of mods below to your launch preset and launch away. In your filters put in "tacticalgamer.com" and the server will show up right away.

Get ALL OF THESE through the Steam Workshop.

Get Task Force Radio from the Steam Workshop now too!.

There is a new guide out on the TFR installation IT IS HERE - USE IT!

Be advised: Some users have reported Norton products flagging TaskForceRadio .dll files as being malicious. If your installation doesn't work be sure to check your Anti-Virus logs!!

          2. Vanilla Welcome Server
No mods whatsoever and it only runs one persistent mission. There is little admin presence on it and it is designed to be a welcoming platform with billboards at the mission start that explains the TG rules and primer to in-game guests. It invites like minded players to join us on TS and on the Custom Coop Missions server.

          TeamSpeak and the Forums
TeamSpeak Permissions system is currently not linked to Forum Accounts. Disregard the grey text below for now. If you are a supporting member then you may have to send a message to Site Admins (Contact Site Administration at the bottom of the forums) in order to have your SM status reflected in TeamSpeak.

We have one permission system that controls your permissions on the forums and in TeamSpeak. This means that there are some steps to take to get into the TeamSpeak server.
          1. Register on the forums and log into your account.
          2. Start up TeamSpeak connect to ts3.tacticalgamer.com:9988. Join the default channel. Click on the default channel and follow the links and instructions that show in the right pane of the TS window.

You will be copying your TS unique user id into your forum account which will then grant you access to all the public TS channels.
