    Sandbags: Left Shift + Mousewheel adjusts the Z axis of the sandbag

    Left Ctrl + Mousewheel rotates the sandbag.

    Sandbags can be stacked on objects or vehicles. Sandbags can only stacked four high.


    Chemlights: Chemlights work very similar to grenades. Chemlights can be held in your hand to use as a light or thrown like a grenade. When you have a chemlight equipped you will have a menu option to attach the chemlight. This will attach the chemlight to the shoulder of your uniform. The light will be visible to other players and makes it easy to tell friend from foe.


    HUNTIR: HuntIR works, but it seems that you have to fire two or three HUNTIR rounds before one works. Anyone have more information?

    TOW launchers are now properly wire-guided.

    Left Windows Key acts as a context sensitive menu. You can 'examine' other players. You can also use the menu button to access emplaced weapon options, allowing you to dissasemble, reload, or otherwise manipulate heavy weapons.

    I think we should write up a manual for the new explosives and mines. Claymores and the various traps and mines are very cool, and very useful, and somewhat difficult to use. But nothing says "Fall back and break contact" like four or five claymores going off in your face.

    Inventory itesm, Gas masks, tactical glasses, ear plugs. Anyone know how to equip or remove them?

      go to:
      yourdrive:/Arma2/userconfig/Ace/
      and edit the following file:
      ace_clientside_config.hpp

      Search for the line with "class identity".
      replace the name "john doe" with your ingame name.
      be sure to edit the 2nd entry (the 1st entry is an example only)

      when you pick up a gasmask etc. from the crates now, you'll find an entry in your scroll-menu.

            Nice one for the gas mask explanation guys. Saves me bugging the usual problem solvers in TS :D

            (BTW: The usual problem solvers (you know who you are) are extremely helpful and go above and beyond the call of....duty? upholding the TG way, thanks guys)

                  HuntIR seems to be bugged, as I doubt continual misfires are part of the program.

                  Gas masks eliminate the effects of tear gas. There are two kinds (Russian and American).
                  Tactical glasses turn the world a nice yellow tint (which is, I guess, better than rose-colored).
                  Safety goggles prevent the effects of rotorwash (and I think, to some extent, overpressure/danger close shots).
                  Balaclavas do nothing. I guess they keep your face warm in the cold, though.

                  IR strobes create pulses of light only visible on nightvision bands by enabling them through the action menu. You can also throw a lit IR strobe by selecting it with your weapon cycle key and firing. As with chemlights, their effects are more pronounced the further you are from the target.

                          Lastnight I couldn't get the light stick to work,

                          I had several in my gear inventory, but they never showed up as an option when I pressed my "F" key.

                          I wonder if this is because I have remapped my "F" key to "z"?

                            ive found that firing the huntir at around a 45 degree angle will make it work, contrary to firing it straight up where it almost never works. a bug or is that how its meant to work?

                              I think how it is meant to. It deploys a parachute, so straight up would have the round going into the parachute and breaking it.
