  • Extremely Short Notice Invasion!

    Hey guys, looking to get as many people as I can to Invade Iraq tonight. The mission has 4 tanks and 2 full infantry squads, if you are up for it. Looking to try and get as many people as I can. Time of invasion will be around 1900 EST.

                      Dredge, I realize this isn't an AAR or mission criticism thread, but two things: set the skill of AI tanks lower, and add something like

                      Code:
                      setViewDistance 3600;
                      to the init.sqf, or put in a view distance script (e.g. showsettings.sqf). Otherwise, the human tanks keep getting blasted by AI tanks they can't see, making it impossible to kill anything except by attrition.

                      Apart from that, things worked nicely, except for some odd texture bug where it seemed all units had "dark" textures even after dawn... not sure if it was just a random glitch, driver problem, or ArmA engine issue; either way, it's probably not the mission's fault.

                        I had the AI skill fairly low just for that reason. Maybe the server is raising it back a wee bit. I will make it lower, and add in that init stuff. Thanks guys!
