    Orders

Situation Enemy: The 506th Guard Motor Rifle Regiment is currently holding the Podagorsk peninsula. The regiment has been deployed primarily in the cities but with the recent inevitability of hostilities the regiment is deploying into more defensible positions. The Russian regular motorized infantry are motivated, experienced, well-trained soldiers, they are well-equipped and well supported. Their numbers range approx. one full-strength Company in the immediate AO with supporting companies deployed on three sides. The enemy forces have a high degree of mobility, and firepower. Expect the enemy to employ standard Russian fire and manuever doctrine.
    Expect 155m and 60mm artillery.
Frontal aviation aircraft have also been observed operating in and around the FLOT.
Expect the enemy to utilize, air and satellite intelligence as well as dismounted and mounted patrols in their attempts to locate friendly forces.
The enemy has a high degree of effective communications over their forces, expect flanking maneuvers and defensive strategies during your advance.
    Air Defense SA-7, SA-6, Zu-23s suspected.
Most Probable Course of Action: Enemy is likely to engage friendly forces with small arms fire and attempt to fix, flank, and destroy with fire support.
Most Dangerous Course of Action: Enemy uses machineguns and rocket propelled grenades to inflict casualties and pin friendly forces while preparing artillery and flanking forces.

Situation Friendly: The 206th Air Assault Division is poised to take the Podagorsk peninsula from the russians in order to support NATO foces operating in Chenarus. The main airfield of the coast was seized early this morning by divisional elements and is now being used as a FARP to springboard the divisional offensive. Currently 2 air assault battalions deployed at the FARP with the rest of the division expected by 1800 today. Lift of 105 Howitzers delayed by enemy air activity. Company level 80mm mortars availible. Company level stinger missile teams are in use to counteract the enemy air threat.

Mission: Alpha Company 72nd of the 202nd Air Assault is to Secure Kovrov in 1077 1356. Alpha Company will then establish a blocking position to the north near 104 129 and await follow on forces.

Commander's Intent: Through the use of arms, mobility, and mutual support we will eliminate the enemy within the village of Kovrov and surrounding area. Once secondary objectives are secured 1 Platoon will advance on Kovrov from the West and 2 Platoon approach from the East so as to envelope the village. This will allow a foothold for follow-on tasks to be completed and future operations to be executed. After we secure Kovrov we will move to prepare a blocking position North of Kovrov in anticipation of a counterattack.

    Execution:

Concept of Operations: Alpha Company will perform air assault operations against enemy forces in and around Kovrov with the intent of limiting available Russian assets prior to the assault on Kovrov. Following completion of secondary tasks, 1st and 2nd Platoons will envelop Kovrov, secure it and move north to establish blocking positions along the North-South ASR.
