  • J.S.R.S Sound Mod

    I thought I'd bring this to your attention as a new sound mod has been released but still in BETA stage. This sound mod when completed will be almost 800 Megabytes consisting of over 1000 new sounds and every weapon, vehicle, and environment sound replaced. This is a massive project but something that I have been waiting to see for some time.

    Any predicated effect on ACE / ACRE ?

      I just tested it with ACE and tested it with both ACE and vanilla ammo crates and it worked. Since we more or less just use the weapons from OA it should work.

      Don't know about ACRE.

        Sounds very very nice indeed.
        But as Hot said, how is the compatibility with ACE and ACRE?

          Sound mods changes only the sound that it was designed for.
          I mean, if a sound mod is designed to change the AK-74 sound, all other sounds will remain the same.

          This means that it is compatible. If you want to change the ACE assets sounds, you can use the CSM2 mod.

          For example, I'm using more than 3 sound mods at the same time and I have no problems with ACRE or ACE.

          The mod seems nicely done, but at this beta stage, it doesn't sound realistic for me.

            Well, according to the videos the sounds are quite good, although I don't really like how the Abrams and the A10 GAU/8 sound. Still, it's a beta and the heloes sounds pretty good. I'll probably follow this closely.

              I downloaded it and with some weapons there's nearly no change in the sound. But some are very nice. It seems like some of the ACE sounds are still being used even though it says it replaces every sound.

                Understand it's still beta so not every weapon has had the sound accurately modeled. There will be alot of work done before it becomes v1

                  Sound mods should have no effect on ACRE.

                        Sound mods will have absolutely zero affect on ACRE; we use no in-game sounds.

                          Coolio Ive been using it for a few days its very nice! The weapons you fire yourself dont seem to be different but when fired by someone beside you or far away they sound very nice.
