  • Good Quality Aerial Photography of EVO cities ?

I'm trying to put together a pictorial collection of all major cities in EVOLUTION.

The idea is to locate or generate images of each major city on the island.

I am having problems generating them becuase the "SPECTATOR" system is kind of clunkity. Furthermore, it LIMITS the hieght at which I can rise in order to get a nice, top down image. Since the Altitude is limited, i cannot see as much as I would like to in my image.

I would also like to turn off all atmospheric "haze" etc in order to get a crisp image fro edge to edge no matter what altitude.

Does anyone know the tricks to get better camera control in a game world?

Finally, here are the images I am looking for WRT each city.

    1. Top down.

    2. Off Angle, North Approach

    3. Off Angle, West Approach

    4. Off Angle, South Approach

    5. Off angle, East Approach

The intent of off angle shots is to allow a person to relate the top down image to the off angle image in order to see the terrain advantages of each approach. I know the maps should be enough to help in tis fashion, but nothing clarifies more than a picture. And with todays satellite and intel imagery, these images are certainly within the limitations of "realism".

Here is what I have been able to create so far, but I am not happy with the altitude limitations of the camera's eye and I wish to eliminate all atmospheric effects to ensure a perfect picture.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.

    Do this:

Go into the Editor, select Sahrani.
Hit F1 to select units, double click on the map.
Select any infantry unit and then, in his exec (or init, whatever) line, type this:
    player exec "camera.sqs";showcinemaborder false

    Then hit "Preview".
Hit L to remove the crosshair.
Numpad keys change view. +/- on numpad zoom in/out. WASD moves, so does mouse.

Set view distance to 5-10k for least atmospheric fog. Set mission time to noon if you want everything to look evenly lit.
