  • TG-SOR....or cunning cover story! ;)

    Hello all,

Well the “smokescreen” ;) of TG-SOR can now be lifted, as I am pleased to announce the formation of the latest TacticalGamer.com – In House Squad - |TG-22nd|.

The 22nd Rapid Reaction Regiment – “The Triple R’s”

The |TG-22nd| has been formed for like-minded players to join together and play a certain style of the ARMA Battle Simulation, on the TacticalGamer.com servers. The 22nd Rapid Reaction Regiment is about teamwork and working together to achieve objectives, missions or roles as required of them by other squads, mission commanding officers or admin staff.

The Regiment is geared toward Rapid Reaction Insertion and Special Operations duties and thus the key roles and specialisations will be swift deployment to a designated area to achieve the mission objective set to its members by senior officers. In short, the Regiment will get the “Pre-assault” forward operations tasks which require skill, tactics, discipline and clear communication in order to be successful.

Often working with other Special Forces Groups, “The Triple R’s” will use swift insertion methods by; Helicopter, HALO Parachute Drop or Rapid Vehicles like the Humvee, Land Rover or UAZ. Troopers will carry either Silenced weapons, the G36 Assault Rifle in three formats, the M4A1 M203 ACOG, SPR and for specific missions 1 trooper in the squad may carry an M24 and either an M249 or M240. Traditionally the squad will not carry AT weapons unless tasked with a specific mission to destroy enemy armour. The Regiment will also be skilled in the use of enemy weapons as Troopers are often dropped deep behind enemy lines with no resupply during some missions. |TG22nd| will also provide “Opposition Force” training for other IHS’s.

The Regiment will carry realistic load out’s of weapons and ammo, proving that a well trained and skilled squad can still overcome considerable odds against it, rather than carrying unrealistic weapon loads.

Mission tasks will range from the establishment of safe LZ’s for incoming Assault troops, Rapid Response to crisis situations ahead of reinforcing troops, “Deep” territory reconnaissance of enemy movements, Combat Search And Rescue missions (CSAR) and specific side mission targets like Communications disruption, Supply Line Destruction or Target Elimination.

Members of the Regiment will be required to lead by example when participating on both TG and third party servers. This means that we will not get involved in team killing, or other disruptive behaviour which spoils others enjoyment.

You will become a “Recruit” upon approval of application by the CO (Blackdog1). Approval will be achieved by playing with the CO and other team members to ensure a similar and wanted style of play. This Regiment is about teamwork, there will be “NO” “Lonewolves” playing for the |TG-22nd|.

Once a “Recruit” becomes a Supporting Member of Tacticalgamer.com they will have passed “Selection and Training” and will have earned the right to wear the full squad badge. However this is not the end of the training and the Regiment will continue to try to teach and develop new skills for its members throughout their time in the squad.

Further information “may” be available by direct request. I will announce new members here on this thread.

Oh and if anyone doesn’t like the name, then tough, it’s approved!

    See you on Sahrani!

Good to hear Blackdog. Get your boys trained up so we can send them in to do recon before the main force moves in. :D

By the way, how did you pick the number 22. Not flaming, just interested as we already know the story behind the RRR name part.

I would imagine 22reg. In relation to 22reg.SAS, that's the British special forces, widely recognised by all as the best trained and most efficient special forces anywhere in the world, oh yes, even better than your Delta and seal boys! ;-)

-- I always wanted TG to be different than anyone else out there. We need to be unique in what we offer and how we play, if not we are simply competing with everyone else. --
