    This weekend's Pathfinder event had some good times, and I got this video on fraps. It shows what the IRstrobe looks like. Each squad leader had one, and makes it a lot easier to keep track of your boss man.

            I think more people need to utilize the HuntIR. That thing is amazingly useful.

              Nice vid was a cool night also :) Still waiting for the video that Jeepo made where the LB i was in took a direct Strela hit.

                      Hopefully, PR wont suck on all of my time tonight. I plan on getting online and play ArmA a bit.

                            From what I've read, the strobes only appear to friendly units.

                              I intended to make the IR strobes available for all.

                              So in a PvP game, everybody with NVG can see you blinking when you turn on an IR strobe.
                              Sadly the AI doesn't use them, but you can script it via init line of a unit (make sure they carry an IR strobe).

                              Unfortunately the light simulation in ArmA is so bad that in general the IR strobes in ACE work only best in complete darkness (no streetlamps, no moon, etc.). Any light source breaks the IR simulation. Maybe there is a better fix in the future, but currently I only did the IR strobe feature as a "proof of concept" and I am to lazy to invest more time due to that engine limitation.
                              I should mention that the player that carries an IR strobe barely can see the himself blinking, because I found it annoying when your gun is lit by the IR.
