  • Getting a trigger to re-check it's condition after x seconds?

    Having a bit of a mrrgh regarding getting a trigger to repeatedly check wether there is a civvy in it, basically it adds 1 to the bluepoints variable if there is a civvy present, but it seems to not be repeating the check and subsequently adding another point. Any advice? The trigger is set to repeatedly ;p


    (edit) I'm guessing that the trigger doesn't reactivate if the condition never becomes false, which is causing the problem, and if true will likely mean I need to script an alternative solution...

    Create a trigger, Civilians present, add a countdown of 5 seconds

    On Act. line add civcount = count thislist

    Create a second trigger, checking civilians present with a coutdown of 5 seconds.
    In the Condition line add count thislist <= civcount-30
    (where 30 civilian deaths will occur before the trigger activates)
    In the On Act. place the code you want when this occurs eg set mission failed objective.


    Be careful to set the trigger areas to be bigger than where the civilians are likely to move, if they move out of the area the triggers will consider them dead.

      Not really :/

      The idea is that Blufor get one point for every minute the civillian is in that particular area... Nothing to do with killing him. Think I'll have to script this fancystyle.

        Create a Gamelogic, init line add a variable; bluecount = 0

        Create a trigger for BLUFOR, present, Repeatedly

        Condition count thislist != bluecount
        On Act. bluecount = count
        (and what ever you want to occur when a unit enters or leaves)

        Test by adding thislist; hint format["%1", bluecount]; it will display howmany units are currently present,

          I think what I'm after is getting lost in translation, think I've fathomed a solution though, thanks for trying anyway Low!
