  • Editing in map markes

Now, all of you supah messunh maekers most know how I add markers on the map from the editor (or however you actually do it) so I won't have to do it manually every single time the map is loaded.
I am making a navigation course where I'd love to have examples of ridges, cliffs, spurs, draws and such marked.

Is this what u needed j.b??

Marker mode is primarily used to place visual map icons and zones on the mission map. Markers are only visible while the mission editor is in marker mode, but can still be manipulated while in other modes. To do so, hover the mouse cursor over a marker's position to display it's name. The second use of markers is to define a possible starting position for any number of objects. To do this, create a group link between the marker and the object. The object will begin the mission at any one of the markers it is grouped with or at it's original position, chosen at random. This offers another way to create some randomness in a mission, with more precise control compared to using the object's Placement radius option. Note that any marker used in this way will still be drawn on the mission map (although setting the axis sizes to 0 can be used to hide a marker). Markers can not be attached to objects. To create a map marker, double left click in empty space.

      Re: Editing in map markes

I should have clarified that I am looking for map markers as those you set on the map when double clicking in a mission.

        Ohhh

Don't you just chose markers as detailed in my first post then use up and down arrow to change the marker and left and right arrow to change colour.....I'm confucius.

          Re: Editing in map markes

Nope, the ones in the editor are different markers. Say, in the briefing screen the map shows the AO with a rectangle that has red diagonal lines. Those are the kind of markers the "F6" markers makes in the editor whereas the ones you just mentioned with the arrow keys are the ones I am looking for.
