    Mission Preview
    By Butler

    - I created this mission entirely for my own enjoyment, and I hope everyone else enjoys it too. The reason I am making this thread is to share the mission and get some feedback on it. I will also upload the .pbo here for anyone who wants to try it out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be as honest as you can, I promise I can take it. Telling me I am terrible at this will only push me to try harder. But let's get into the mission. Also, I am aware that I need to use the Mission Submission thread. I really just felt like sharing my first mission for feedback before I go ahead and waste everyone's time uploading. Hopefully this mission caught your attention and you want to try it! :) Thanks!

    BRIEFING
    - The Mission

This mission is a bit different than most other missions, gentleman. You have been tasked with restoring order throughout your area, following a very large Taliban push. Please take this seriously, the outcome of the entire conflict rests in the balance.

The taliban have moved in over night, and we have lost our footing. Your AO contains two Forward Operating Bases, Camp Kinno and FOB Mike 2. The initial attack started in Spetzyahir and took Camp Kinno. We had small forces at the FOB at the time and they took it without much resistance. The push also let the Taliban move into villages throughout the AO. These include Lolosalam, Kenykmheni, and Mandingara. Intelligence reports that the Taliban are gathering recruits in the villages, and we can't let this happen. We need your forces to clear these villages of all combatants. We also believe that Taliban have pushed troops into Machifazar, just a few minutes walk from FOB Mike 2, currently held by a small special forces team.

    Good Luck, gentlemen.

    - Your Forces

JSOC sent in a Special Forces team last night to attempt to hold FOB Mike 2, and although they havn't reported any attacks we want to stay safe. We are putting the SF team under the control of the CO, which adds onto the two infantry and one flight squad. All AO activity is under your Commanders discretion, and he can do what he pleases to satisfy the mission. We have also provided you with a convoy of vehicles and the flight team has access to a AH-60 Apache Longbow, a MH-60 MEDEVAC Blackhawk and a MH-60 Transport Blackhawk. Use them wisely, as we are on very limited supply and won't be available to replace parts upon damage.

    - The Enemy

Intelligence reports that the enemy has a few old russian armor and vehicles they are using. This is the first instance that we have seen them affectively using any vehicles other than the Toyata's they truck around Kabul in. AA teams have been spotted in the mountains, so stay low on any airborne infil. Just watch your backs, we don't know entirely what to expect.

    - Game Info

All players start with a 343 radio for short-range communication. All spawns are within close reach of a radio box so you can access more radios. The same applies to Medical Supplies. I wanted to keep these under discretion of the CO, so I will let him micro-manage as he please. HOWEVER: Only medic's can use First-Aid.

The mission is currently using GeneralCarver's Field Medic Tent script. This will allow medic's to set up field tents that work a medical supply boxes and a place to store wounded. I liked the concept, so I added it to see it's workability. I may or may not keep it for the future versions.

We are always happy to get more people developing missions.
You are not wasting anyone's time by asking that your misison be tested. If you submit it there (please read the submission rules) we will upload it to Charlie so it can be tested and if there are no problems we will take it up to Bravo.
I am going to leave this thread as an AAR/suggestions thread.

Re: OP Afghan Continuity - Butler's First Mission

The beauty of mission making- I realize now that I should have planned a little bit more before I even started putting it together. I am considering this thread and the version on Charlie tests strictly for play-ability. The version that will end up on the server will have modifications to the briefing, name, description and so on. Otherwise this version should be a starting point for game play based troubleshooting. Thanks again to anyone who tests!

Good work, for a bit, it was only me and a few few bunch producing missions. Now, we have a good team buildings missions which means MORE VARIETY! No two people think exactly the same, but I know I have taken ACOG's place for missions that make you wanna cry =)

Thank you! I have always been the developing type. It only took me a few hours to get into the editor and start experimenting. I can't wait to produce more missions for TG to play around with.

Thank you. How would I go about joining the charlie server to test, or contacting an admin to set it up?
