    I'm starting a new TvT mission type this morning. I'm calling this TvT mode just "Three Sides - CTF" for now.

    There are two playable teams. There is a central location where an AI presence is guarding a flag. The objective for each player team is to pick up that flag and take it to their main base.

    The flag must be able to be picked up and dropped. When any player is killed the flag will be dropped and only the team that had the flag can pick it up from the current location and continue to run it to their main base. If the opposing team touches the dropped flag then it returns to the original starting position.

    Once a team picks up a flag from the starting position then an AI team will spawn in on the far side of that team's base and attempt to thwart the return of that flag. If this team has already spawned in, then it will only respawn again if:
    a) the previous spawned AI team is combat ineffective
    b) it has been 2 minutes since the previous condition has been met

    Players will respawn based on two criteria. First they will only repsawn in waves. Meaning, there will likely be a 60 second timer (adjusted for the size of the mission area) and all respawns will occur for each side at once. If you have one player on your side killed and the timer is at 40 seconds you wait 40 seconds to respawn. If a second player from your side is killed 10 seconds later, they will wait 30 seconds to respawn.

    The second respawn criteria will be a ticket system. Each side will only have limited respawn tickets and when this is exceeded they will lose the game at the death of their last player.

    Additionally there will be a revive system. The revive will not be based on being a medic. It will take 30 seconds to revive a down player. This will use B's variation of revive we are currently using on Server One and the Insurgency mission and will not require a medikit. This revive works by interrupting the "death" process of a player so that spending 30 seconds trying to revive a team member will save a respawn ticket.




    My first step this morning was to get the initial template of respawn/tickets/wave system working. This is done.

    Next step is to script the basic functions of the flag. This must include a flag object, attaching to a player on pick up, assigning ownership of that flag to a team, allowing for the flag to be dropped on purpose or on the death of the carrier, and allowing it to be either picked up by the owner team or the whole system reset by the opposing team touching the dropped flag.

      Updated this mission this morning too. Kinda forgot to add in a condition for a flag carrier to drop the flag when shot. Also added mission parameters to choose respawn options for the revive script. You can now choose bleed out timer & respawn button available times from the mission parameters. This should allow for variation when playing so we can determine best options.

      Also, notifications now tell you when the flag has been picked up or dropped and will remind players as to which side currently owns the flag.

        Step next is to add more variety into the enemy population. Currently they are just an 8 man team that moves to where the flag is placed. Next scripting session on this mission I'll create dynamic groups that will do much more. Take up positions in houses, patrol, fake you out by guarding somewhere where there is no flag maybe. I'll have to increase the mission times from 20,30 & 40 mins to 30,45,60 and even 90. Default would be 45.
