  • Assistance with Respawn and Aresenal

    I have a few missions created that I am looking to add Aresnal to. I have added the latest code to a file named arsenalbox.sqf and added the code within to my init file. After placing a NATO supply box, I am not seeing arsenal when I approach and scroll middle mouse.

    Also what do I need to do to add respawn on a vehicle? Marker and attachto command?

    Thanks

    I use the default module. In the editor, under modules ... go to Multiplayer?... Vehicle Respawn, configure it as you like. And then sync it to a vehicle object in the editor.

      My mistake for not being clear. I mean mobile resplendent for west units

        The wiki for respawn setup is here. Once read through you can setup almost anyhow you want. The revive is still in dev and is not compatible with all the other respawn modes. Other than that it is straight forward.

        For the mobile respawn on a vehicle: I use BIS_fnc_addRespawnPosition (wiki) function. Place down an editor object like an empty vehicle and give it a name. Call the function on initServer.sqf something like:
        Code:
        [west, myRespawnAPC] call BIS_fnc_addRespawnPosition;
        where myRespawnAPC is the name you gave to the vehicle object. A more complex things can happen like adding a respawn position mid-game via triggers.

          Thanks B. I'll toy around with the function

            Re: Assistance with Respawn and Aresenal

            May seem a little off topic but here is that script I'd mentioned while we were looking at your end triggers. This is to check if your "is opfor present" triggers over each AO have set their variables "area1Dead = true" and so forth. The advantage of this is just not having a trigger run constantly. It can only check every 5 seconds which should be often enough that players would never notice the difference except perhaps see better performance out of the server.

            Code:
            _run = true;
            _areaTriggersToCheck = [area1Dead,area2Dead,area3Dead,area4Dead,area4Dead];
            if !(isServer) exitWith {}; //only run this on the server

            while {_run} do
            {
            	_numberAreasDead = 0;
            	{
            		if (_x) then
            		{
            			_numberAreasDead = _numberAreasDead + 1;
            		};
            	}forEach _areaTriggersToCheck;
            	if (_numberAreasDead == count _areaTriggersToCheck) then
            	{
            		missionStatus == "killed";
            		publicVariable "missionStatus";
            		_run = false; //stop running this script
            	};
            	sleep 5; //only check these conditions every 5 seconds
            };
