  • Looking for help: popup targets

    I'm working on a little scenario for the TGU basic infantry course, to breath a little ambient life into it.

    I have some popup targets that I want to stay down when hit, and then reset with an action. I've used this code here and it works fine. Problem is that the script "nopop=true" works globally. Which is bad because I have some other targets I want to work "normally". The solution I suppose is to hard card the ones I want to pop back up automatically with event handlers. I only know enough scripting to read others' and break them.

    If anyone wants to help me figure out a solution that'd be great.

    Thanks!
    Shoomfie

    Could you not just name the targets you want to work on your radio trigger set as repeatable and have this in the activation:
    Code:
    resettableTarget1 setDamage 0;
    resettableTarget1 animate["terc", 0];
    resettableTarget2 setDamage 0;
    resettableTarget2 animate["terc", 0];

      I got this working for the TGU mission. Basically did 3 radio triggers.
      1. Disable Pop-Up (nopop = true)
      2. Enable Pop-Up (nopop = false and triggers option 3)
      3. Reset All Targets (resets all targets to up position)

      The problem was I had to name all the targets because they were of different types and were not all detected by the line in the game logic. That and nopop is a global command...so you have all targets behaving one way at any time. This is a good work around which the instructor can control.
